- Close all the background programs.

- When the license agreement window opens, select Yes.
- Hit Proceed and once the scan finishes, restart your computer.
- Install QB desktop.
Solution 2: Repair the Microsoft component
- Go to Control Panel and select Programs and Features.
- Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
- Login using the admin account password.
- Uncheck the box against Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Restart your system.
- Once the computer restarts, follow the above-mentioned steps again and mark the checkbox for Microsoft .NET Framework.
